I am getting back on a bike after a 9 year break, & all I needed to get to work & back on was a little 50cc scooter and my girlfriend picked the Pulse Rhythm for me. I have read a few things about Chinese bikes but would like to know if anyone has had one of these and was it any good. Also can it be modded to get it to go any faster thanks.

chinese bikes are ok if you dont mind getting your habds dirty with serviceing ans such
they can be tuned and more products are becoming availible
i like them and think that the chinese scoots are getting beter and better
but a lot will say why you got that piece of shite then

Ive had a couple. 125 Lifan which was good and a Sukida 50cc, the latter being a pig... I guess it depends on where it was bought as much as the poor build quality... The Sukida was nothing but problematic, was in the dealers every few weeks and they kept on fobbing me off and charging me for work that really didnt need doing (I found out later)
The Lifan was a good buy, went well...
As long as you dont mind changing the gear oil and servicing like Andy said, should be ok.... The Chrome comes off at the first sight of rain too...
Personally, I'd buy a second hand Italian job....

I`m pretty sure the original model was a two-stroke , but the new ones are 4 strokes . Two strokes are tuneable , I doubt if the four stroke is .I think you must mean can they go faster .If the derestrictions are removed they will . Join the Chinese Scooter Owners Forum , they have all the answers and advice on there . Look on the bright side , you will use very little petrol on the 4 stroke compared with a two-stroke .

Thanks for the help, still waiting for it to arrive was offered a Pulse force 50 but will wait for the Rhythm. If I can get 40mph from it I will be happy.

That Force you were offered is the later model and is a two-stroke . More tuneable but worse on petrol . It is more expensive and does not have a flat floor .
