Senile and proud of it

Have you ever had that scenario where you put something down and then never see it again? It happened to me recently when I was out testing not only scooters, but clothing products as well. I had two different pairs of riding gloves under my seat when I left, but I can’t remember if I brought two pairs back!

Senile and proud of it

The first time I realised something was missing was about a week later when I came to use one pair again. I’ve searched high and low while racking my brains as to where I last saw them, but I’m still none the wiser.

I have a similar problem with keys as well and regularly accuse the current Mrs Spencer of moving them – only to find them where I’d left them. I never admit I’ve found them unless I have to and I’m gambling that she won’t read this as I don’t want another ‘you’re going senile’ incident. Still, this not remembering malarkey comes in handy sometimes, so I’d better not push it too much.

Apart from celebrating 10 years in print (see full story on page 32), there’s been a lot happening in and around the office this month. To put you in the picture, we go through a regular pattern of a few quiet weeks before a particular deadline approaches and then all hell breaks loose as mass panic ensues trying to get everything ready for the press deadline! This issue however, seems to have been even more manic than usual with lots of unforeseen problems ranging from chasing undelivered test scooters and the upgrading of the T&G website (www.twistngo.com is the address if you haven’t already visited it).

Anyway, with a bit of huffing and puffing, things have come together in the end. As well as providing a variety of interesting articles, we also have a fantastic scooter competition for this issue with the chance for someone to become a T&G test rider and have the use of a Yamaha T-Max for a year. So, if you don’t always agree with our test reports, this is the perfect opportunity for you to have your say. Now that’s a competition that’s got to be worth entering!

Safe riding,

Mau
