Piaggio MP3 Yourban 300 - Road Test

On a rain-soaked day in March, Andy went to Cannes in France to road test the new Piaggio MP3 Yourban 300. In this video you can see how the unique front end on Piaggio's MP3 range allows this three-wheeled scooter to lean into corners just as a conventional scooter would. If you're going to ride a scooter in the rain all day, then a MP3 with three-wheels and the extra stability that comes with it, is a far better option than two!

nuggs, like you I was a coach driver for many years in the UK and all over Europe. 69 now and had bikes over 40 years, last bike Harley and last year purchased Gilera Fuoco similar to the MP3. The Fuoco has the 3 wheels like the MP3 but larger engine by Piagio 500cc. As shown in the video brilliant handling in the wet and on ice, caught out last year along the Teign Valley on ice. It was unbelievable how it slid and then gripped again. Stunning performance and when you get used to switching in the locking mechanism, it becomes great fun. I don't think I would go back to two wheels again after the Fuoco.

I am in my late 50's and have just seen, the video, of the Piaggio MP3 Yourban 300, apart from the high price, I think that the stability is very good, I am giving serious thought to becoming an owner of one, I would love to see other makers try this idea out ,as 3wheels are better than 2, having been a bus driver for near 30 years have seen to many accdeints to scooter riders, this would be a good safe method for personal transport.
