National Restoration Show
By: Mau Spencer
Get on your bike to this year’s National Restoration Show, held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on Sunday 24 October, to find that elusive part and get valuable advice on how to complete your classic’s restoration. If you’re looking for the right tool to do the job, the materials to get the job done, or just some good honest down-to-earth advice from the experts, the National Restoration Show will help you to get your project underway, or completed.
Enthusiasts looking for advice or inspiration can visit the various bike clubs that will display the projects that its’ members are currently working on and benefit from the clubs’ knowledge of a particular marque or model. There will also be numerous demonstrations from motoring specialists and tools suppliers as well as colleges and restorers.
The show also hosts the UK’s largest indoor autojumble with even more traders and stalls set up outside in the showground, which includes a dedicated Bike Jumble. For enthusiasts looking for their next project, there will be an Automart, featuring classic bikes for sale. Anyone bringing a bike they wish to sell can do so for just £30, which includes two admissions.
The National Restoration Show is open from 10am until 4pm. Tickets are available at £10 for adults in advance, £12 on the gate. Car parking is free. To book tickets, call 0871 620 7067 or visit the website at www.restoration-show.co.uk for further updates.
