Hello/goodbye

Strange thing, press deadlines. I’m writing this editorial in mid-November, but it’s for the Jan/Feb issue of T&G. So with the chance of you having already having over-indulged in the Christmas spirit being more than likely, I would like to wish you all a happy and fruitful new year. Let’s hope that 2012 is going to be a positive one.

Hello/goodbye

One thing I will miss from 2011 will be my time with ‘KYM’ – the Downtown 300i scooter that was my companion during the year. Her ‘visa’ only extended until the end of October and the time for her to go came too quickly and the speed of her departure somewhat caught me by surprise and I didn’t really have the time to say goodbye properly. Goodbye KYM; I’ll miss you!

More haste, less speed…

Those editorial gremlins have been working their magic yet again and I find I must apologise for an error that slipped through the net during our last hectic magazine deadline. I hold my hands up; I should have picked up on this at the last proof stage, but in all the turmoil of going to press, I didn’t.

If you were confused by the tiebreaker question on CPI Aragon entry form, it should have read: ‘I would like to win the CPI Aragon because…’ The error has been corrected for this issue, but if you’ve already sent your entry in, don’t worry, it is still valid.

Friends like us

Now, for those of you that may have attempted to add T&G as a friend on Facebook, we thought we’d better let you know that we’ve had to restart it again, due to us not getting it right the first time around. Apparently setting it up in the way that we did was meant to be for personal use, rather than being suitable for us as a magazine. We’ve now corrected this error, but can’t transfer any existing friends from the old site. Consequently, you will need to go to www.facebook.com/TwistGo and tick the ‘like’ box to rejoin us.

If you have one of those smart-phones, it’s even simpler. Just scan the image on this page – you’ll also find it scattered elsewhere around this issue – and it will take you directly to our Facebook page, where again, you just need to click the ‘like’ button.

Isn’t technology wonderful?

Mau
