Competition: Fancy riding a Yamaha TMax?
By: Web Editor
Would you like to have free use of the latest Yamaha TMax for a year? Then why not enter our unique competition?
Yamaha UK and Twist & Go magazine have teamed up to offer one lucky reader the opportunity to become a road tester for a year who will produce an article for every issue of T&G published during 2011. The lucky winner will be provided with a brand-new TMax about which you will write your reports. We’ll provide full insurance cover, a helmet plus a complete set of riding clothing from the latest Spada range (which you get to keep after the bike is returned).
THE SCOOTER
All we can tell you at this stage is that the scooter will be one of Yamaha’s 2011 TMax range. It could be a White Max, a Black Max, a Night Max – or it could even be something new for 2011.
THE RIDER
As the competition winner, you will be expected to have proficient writing and photography skills, as you will need to provide a constructive report and related photographs for each issue of T&G. You will also need to meet press deadlines and article lengths.
HOW TO ENTER
Of course, we wouldn’t just give a £7500-plus machine to someone we don’t know without assessing them thoroughly first, so this competition takes the form of a number of procedures.
Part 1: To enter the competition, we first need to test your writing and photography skills, so what we want you to do is to write a short article consisting of a maximum of 500 words. This should be supplemented by a varied selection of six pictures which together would form the basis of single page article. As the winner will be writing road test reports, your article should be related (perhaps testing your own scooter, or one you’ve ridden at some point in time). Remember, it needs to be constructive and unbiased. Your text should be in Microsoft Word (or equivalent) format, while picture sizes should be a minimum of 6mp jpg files.
Part 2: The best entries received will be short-listed. At this stage, we will ask to see a copy of your driving licence for insurance purposes. We will also send the finalists on an IAM rider training assessment course. The winner emerging from all this will then be presented with the keys to their new T-Max test bike.
COMPETITION DEADLINE
As you will become part of our team, we are giving you a press deadline of Monday 20 September to get your entry to us in the formats previously mentioned.
Entries (marked ‘T&G TMax Competition’) can be emailed to mau@twistngo.com or sent on CD* to:
