33rd Annual Stoke Toy Run
By: Mau Spencer
On Sunday 12 December 2010, The Brittania Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent will yet again witness the start of the Star Bikers Annual Toy Run.
A donation of £2 per bike plus an unwrapped toy will give you access to enter. Registration isn't necessary, but arrival before 10.45am (for an 11am start) is crucial. Please note that riders must be aware of certain criteria laid down before riding, details of which can be found at www.stokebikeruns.co.uk
The cavalcade will also be collecting gift donations from the public lining the 14-mile route through Stoke-on-Trent. All toys donated will be passed onto the local authorities and other organisations for distribution to childrens homes and charities.
There will be refreshments, a prize draw, a live band and a disco, providing entertainment for all the family. Souvenir merchandise will be available for purchase on the day.
Visit www.stokebikeruns.co.uk or phone Lisa Johnson (01782 722077 / 07720 663799) or Ant Middleton (01782 414831) for information.
